I started my career as the "finance guy" - focused on the rational and the logical - with little sense of how to actually lead people Fortunately, an international role gave me the chance to reinvent myself. That opportunity exposed me to new experiences plus incredible mentors and coaches who opened my eyes to the power of human-centric leadership, and specifically the power and importance of building your EQ. I became both a believer and a practitioner, throwing myself into understanding and applying Emotional Intelligence to leadership - and seeing the positive results firsthand. I’ve applied these lessons – and continued learning – through nearly 20 years at C-Level roles in multiple companies and countries, including 10+ years in CEO roles.
