I didn't start as a leadership expert. I started as a finance guy. Over nearly 30 years, I worked at the C-suite level across Europe, North America, and beyond — running businesses, driving turnarounds, and stepping into new roles myself. I made mistakes. I moved too fast. I announced strategy before I understood the terrain. I learned, sometimes the hard way, what actually works in the critical first months of a new leadership role. Eventually I moved into executive coaching and consulting. And from that vantage point, I watched the same patterns repeat — talented, experienced leaders stumbling in transitions for the same preventable reasons. The 40% failure rate isn't a mystery. I've seen it up close. I built this course because I wanted to give leaders the system I wish I'd had — before they needed it, not after the damage was done.
